They are offering $5000 to two students who can prove their commitment to vegetarianism has led to improvements within their school or college. Students must show they are dedicated and passionate about vegetarian eating and promote how non-meat food can encourage world peace. Since committed vegetarians should find all these issues close to heart this scholarship should be fairly easy to fulfil.

3. Have you got a passion for Greener living?

The government has set aside financial support to help students from lone parent families, on a low income and young parents to attend university. 8. Would you like to study in Europe?

Some universities want to encourage international students and will offer scholarships in order to do so. University College in Galloway, Ireland offers a $13,000 reward to students studying any aspect of Irish culture in their research. Fancy somewhere a little more exotic?
